The MGA Era
It’s good to be an MGA. According to Conning’s latest report, U.S. MGAs wrote a whopping $114.1 billion in premium last year, up 16% to once again flex over the broader P&C market. Thanks alt risk sources!

Claims Headaches

That’s up from last year, at a time when claim severity and frequency are both set to rise.

After two years of $1-billion+ losses and loss ratios ballooning upwards of 200%, the space insurance market is still in rehab. Capacity has cratered, rates have skyrocketed (some by 150%) and many launches — especially from giants like SpaceX — are self-insured, leaving traditional markets sidelined.
